Education Welfare Ltd was established in 2011 and is a local independent company working in the Tees Valley region providing professional high quality strategic and operational support to schools and academies. We are unique and at the forefront of education welfare support, constantly reviewing and evolving our services and products.

Delivered by experts with a proven track record, the service offers targeted proactive early intervention, support to pupils and their families to address school attendance and welfare concerns, as well as a robust challenge to parents and carers where required.

The team has extensive knowledge of the local area and are well connected with local authority school improvement teams and other agencies which allows us to be an efficient and responsive service.

We have a practical, hands-on approach to effectively support schools to raise their attendance, reduce persistent absenteeism and address education welfare issues.

Our team have extensive knowledge of all matters relating to the law, legislation and government guidance regarding school attendance.

We comply with professional standards and have the appropriate data protection/information sharing protocols in place. All data is securely stored in line with GDPR requirements.

We also provide sickness cover so that no school under contract with Education Welfare Ltd is left without support.

The directors of Education Welfare Ltd, Josie Andrew and Roz Pickersgill, have over twenty four years combined experience delivering education welfare support, including statutory intervention at local authority level to schools.
